ATTENDANCE:

Board Members:   Laurie Pankratz, Chairperson,Lora Heyen,Casey Rost, Bill Whitney, and bookkeeper Jean Rost.

District Members: Eldon and Monica King and Judy Whitney

Guests: none

Laurie Pankratz called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.      

MINUTES:

Minutes of the September 19,2022 meeting were read. Casey moved to approve and Bill seconded.  Motion carried.

TREASURY REPORT:

Discussion held about September water sample.  It was not taken so we need to contact North Baker so they do not pay R. Schell .  All board members present were in favor. Jean will contact Billy Jo.             

Lora made motion to approve payment of bills.  Casey seconded.  Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

District Boundaries: Bill Whitney stated he does not want to include the Trailer Court Tract in boundaries of the district until we have paperwork from state showing the procedure.  He is still concidering his options.

Back Flow Preventor: No changes

800 DIG: Need to set up.

Holstine property standpipe:  City had notified Jean that it is bent so discussion was to have City come see if it can be shut off and if broken need to repair before winter.

Annual Financial Statement:  Due yearly and Jean will get it prepared.

Kevin Dukart contacted Jean and said they are having a hard time getting new meters.  We can get refurbished meters.  Will need to find out what kind of warranty they will have.

NEW BUSINESS:

City of Baker will be holding a public hearing to raise their rates.  We may have to make another rate increase to cover these changes.  Check what the state standard is for water rate increase before a public hearing needs to be held.
